The choir El León de Oro will take part this coming weekend in the Atrium Musicae cycle, held in the city of Cáceres as part of its 2026 edition. The presence of our flagship ensemble will take shape in two concerts at heritage venues across the city, reaffirming its connection with one of the most prominent musical events on the national scene.

On Saturday, January 31, at 12:00 noon, El León de Oro will perform at the Co-Cathedral of Santa María together with Schola Antiqua, presenting the Officium Defunctorum by Tomás Luis de Victoria, one of the great masterpieces of the Spanish Renaissance.

The following day, Sunday, February 1, at 10:15 a.m., the choir will offer the programme Contrafacta at the Church of Santiago Apóstol, a proposal that establishes a dialogue between historical music and its projection over time through the choral repertoire.

Organised by the Atrio Cáceres Foundation, Atrium Musicae has established itself as a reference cycle committed to artistic excellence and to highlighting historical heritage through music. El León de Oro’s participation in this edition offers audiences in Extremadura a new opportunity to enjoy the work of one of the most highly regarded choral ensembles in Spain.

Tickets for the concerts are available through the official Atrium Musicae ticketing platform, where full information on schedules, venues and access options can be found.
